A Partnership Shaped by Vision
The Museum of the Future is one of Dubai’s most prominent cultural institutions, representing innovation, foresight, and the exploration of what lies ahead. Operating at a global level, its programmes demand clarity of vision, strong narrative, and objects that feel credible, contemporary, and meaningful.
Crystal Arc partnered with the Museum of the Future to deliver bespoke awards that reflected these values while meeting the expectations of a highly visible, future-focused platform. This collaboration was built on trust in Crystal Arc’s ability to translate abstract ideas into refined physical forms with institutional presence.
Designing Crystal Awards for a Landmark Institution
Across two major initiatives, Crystal Arc developed bespoke awards for the Dubai Foresight Awards 2025 and the Future Stories Awards 2025, each aligned with the Museum’s growth identity while responding to different thematic briefs.
All projects were designed and produced fully in-house at Crystal Arc, from concept development through to final presentation. This integrated approach ensured full control over quality, proportion, material consistency, and execution, allowing each piece to meet the standards expected of an institution operating at an international level.
Dubai Foresight Awards 2025
The Dubai Foresight Awards trophy was designed as a bold vertical sculptural form, communicating clarity, progress, and forward momentum. The tall rectangular silhouette establishes presence and authority, while the flowing recessed central element introduces movement and visual depth without disrupting the overall discipline of the form.
Radiating line details were integrated into the surface to symbolise influence, reach, and the expanding impact of foresight-driven ideas. The colour palette was intentionally modern and controlled, allowing the piece to feel contemporary while remaining formal enough for a government-adjacent institutional platform.
Future Stories Awards 2025
Following the Dubai Foresight Awards, Crystal Arc was again entrusted by the Museum of the Future to create the trophies for the Future Stories Awards 2025. This second commission reinforced confidence in Crystal Arc’s design depth and execution.
This award was conceived as a fluid sculptural glass form, using deep blue tones to evoke depth, continuity, and imagination, while the twisting central form evokes movement and internal reflection. Varying glass thicknesses allowed light to interact dynamically with the piece, revealing layered depth from different viewing angles.
Despite its fluid appearance, the form was carefully engineered to feel balanced and substantial when held, ensuring physical presence during presentation moments.
Working Glass Into Sculptural Form
Material selection and craftsmanship played a central role across both award programmes. Precision-finished surfaces, refined edges, and carefully balanced proportions ensured each piece felt confident and enduring. Particular attention was paid to how the awards interacted with light and camera, supporting their visual strength on stage and in official photography.
Each piece progressed through a fully controlled in-house process, including fabrication, finishing, engraving, and custom presentation boxes, ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple awards and programmes.
Outcome and Representation
Together, the Dubai Foresight Awards and Future Stories Award form a cohesive body of work that reflects the Museum of the Future’s role as a global institution while demonstrating Crystal Arc’s ability to translate visionary ideas into thoughtfully executed physical objects. The result is recognition that feels purposeful, contemporary, and aligned with the long-term narrative of progress and innovation.
