The Dubai Marathon is one of the region’s most established international sporting events, attracting elite athletes and global attention while representing endurance, discipline, and competitive excellence. As a flagship race on the global running calendar, its awards must reflect prestige, achievement, and the stature of a world-class race.
Crystal Arc partnered with the Dubai Marathon to create commemorative trophies and presentation pieces that honoured this legacy with clarity of form, controlled craftsmanship, and ceremonial presence.
Designing a Trophy Around a City
Across multiple initiatives, Crystal Arc developed bespoke awards for the Dubai Marathon, with the centrepiece being a sculptural silver metal trophy created to mark the event’s 25th Anniversary.
The design was conceived as an architectural composition inspired by Dubai’s skyline. The Burj Khalifa rises at the core of the piece, acting as a vertical anchor and symbolising ambition, progress, and global recognition. Surrounding architectural elements were integrated to create depth and structure, while a calligraphic element introduced cultural resonance, grounding the trophy firmly within the city’s identity while maintaining an international design language.
Metal, Crystal and the City Skyline
Material selection and execution were central to the impact of the trophy. A silver metal finish was chosen to convey strength, endurance, and prestige, qualities synonymous with marathon running and elite performance.
Precision metal fabrication, clean transitions, and controlled surface reflections ensured the piece carried visual authority under stage lighting while remaining refined at close range. Proportion and weight were carefully engineered to give the trophy a grounded, ceremonial presence, ensuring it felt significant during podium moments and championship recognition.
Cutting, Detailing and Assembly
All Dubai Marathon pieces were designed and produced fully in-house at Crystal Arc. The production process included metal fabrication, finishing, engraving, and quality control, allowing complete oversight from concept through final delivery.
This end-to-end control ensured accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the event’s international standards.
Final inspections were completed before presentation to ensure accuracy, finish, and visual clarity remained uncompromised.

The result is a landmark trophy that reflects both the Dubai Marathon’s legacy and Crystal Arc’s ability to translate athletic achievement and city identity into refined, enduring physical forms.
