Al Rajhi Bank is one of the largest Islamic banks in the world, representing financial stability, institutional growth, and long-term economic leadership in Saudi Arabia and beyond. As a banking institution built on trust, structure, and scale, its commemorative pieces must reflect architectural strength and disciplined identity.
Crystal Arc partnered with Al Rajhi Bank to create a bespoke sculptural award directly inspired by one of its landmark tower buildings, translating corporate presence into a refined three-dimensional form.
Designing a Building in Crystal
The piece was developed as a detailed architectural replica, capturing the vertical massing and façade rhythm of the bank’s tower structure.
The twin-column composition frames a central transparent core, reflecting both structural integrity and openness. The repetitive horizontal lines along the exterior walls mirror the building’s façade articulation, while the open grid centre introduces depth and dimensional realism. Rather than abstracting the brand, the design focused on faithful architectural interpretation, reinforcing recognition and corporate pride.
Optical Crystal and Architectural Precision
The structure rests on a deep, polished base that grounds the vertical composition and enhances stability. The careful proportioning ensures the model maintains realistic scale while carrying ceremonial presence. Subtle brand insignia placement near the upper sections was integrated with restraint, preserving architectural clarity while maintaining corporate alignment.
Material execution and craftsmanship were central to delivery. Precision fabrication was required to achieve consistent façade detailing, clean edge transitions, and structural balance across the four vertical pillars. The central transparent grid element was carefully engineered to maintain rigidity while preserving visual lightness. Weight distribution was calibrated to ensure stability without compromising elegance.
Cutting, Engraving and Polishing
The award was designed and produced entirely in-house at Crystal Arc, the project encompassed modelling, fabrication, finishing, branding integration, and final quality control.
