Crystal Arc firms up plans to open outlets in GCC

Crystal Arc, a leading UAE-based producer of handcrafted crystal items and trophies, will open outlets in Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain, before year-end, Mr. Faisal Seddiq M. Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Crystal Arc, announced.

The new outlets, to be opened in Riyadh, Muscat and Bahrain, are part of the company’s push towards grabbing a major share of the crystal products market that is estimated to be growing by 25 per cent annually in the GCC. Crystal Arc currently has two outlets in the UAE, one in Dubai and the other in Abu Dhabi.

Crystal Arc is having a high-profile presence at Premium 2005, the annual corporate gifts exhibition being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Hall No. 8, from September 11 to 13, with stunning crystal models of Dubai’s biggest landmarks, including Burj Dubai and the surrounding district. The Crystal Arc stand will showcase products made from breakthrough technology, including coloured fused glass, that helps create new shapes and designs in crystal for the first time in the Middle East.

’As a manufacturer of high quality crystal products, Crystal Arc has invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery and master craftsmen to maintain the niche we have created in this field,’ said Mr. Al Mutawa. ’Having achieved recognition and exceptional growth in the UAE, it is time now to take our products to the wider GCC region for the convenience of our customers in these markets.’

According to Mr. Mustansir Saifuddin, Managing Director of Crystal Arc, the company witnessed a growth of over 70 per cent in 2004, and is targeting higher revenues during 2005, fuelled by increased demand in the UAE and the projected revenues from the new outlets.
