Crystal Arc’s breakthrough technology in fused glass secures overseas orders

Crystal Arc, a leading producer of handcrafted crystal artifacts and presentation articles, has introduced new breakthrough technology that incorporates colours and elegant shapes into trophies by combing fused glass with crystal.

Described by Crystal Arc as a world first, the new-look trophies have bagged contracts from overseas markets, including a $150,000 order from a company in the United States. In the local market, Crystal Arc has executed orders for a leading airline and consumer electronics company for trophies and corporate gifts.

The new breakthrough technology has enabled us to move away from the ’clear’ image associated with crystal trophies and artifacts. We have pioneered the processes of blending fused glass with crystal through our own in-house expertise and state of the art furnace,’ said Mustansir Saifuddin, managing director of Crystal Arc. ’We can now create a totally new range of coloured products, with shapes that only fused glass can produce.’

With the production of the new-look trophies, Crystal Arc is poised to grab a larger share of the crystal product market, which is estimated to be worth over Dh. 50 million and growing at the rate of 40 per cent annually.
